"One of the biggest pieces of advice I would give to anyone starting out in the permanent makeup industry is to not overwhelm yourself by trying to learn everything at once. It’s easy to feel pressured to take multiple trainings and offer every service immediately, but mastering PMU takes time, patience, and consistency.
I always tell new artists to focus on the fundamentals first—really learn the theory, understand skin, pigment, healing, and technique, and allow yourself time to grow confidently in one service before moving on to the next. Start with one procedure, perfect it to the best of your ability, and build a strong foundation before expanding into additional services. In this industry, quality and healed results matter far more than trying to do everything all at once."
